Faiyaj Rahman

I'm a Computer Engineering student at the University of Michigan with a deep interest in low-level software, high-performance systems, ML architectures, and embedded platforms. I enjoy digging into complex systems, squeezing out maximum performance, and building things from the bare metal up.

Right now I'm a Software Engineering Intern at Bosch working on agentic AI and cloud platforms, and Co-Founder and Software Engineer at Saf. On the side my focus is split across three builds: a sub-millisecond, cache-efficient C++ limit order book and matching engine; Overround, a transformer backed by a multithreaded Monte Carlo engine that predicts UEFA Champions League matches; and Kestrel, a custom autonomous drone tying low-level control systems to real-time flight logic.

When I'm not debugging software or optimizing architectures, you'll usually find me lifting heavy metal circles, playing football (no, it's not soccer), or running through lobbies in games 🤪.

Gaming

Late-night lobbies. Mainly Fortnite, Roblox, and occasionally Valorant. Fun fact: I killed Peterbot (the LeBron of Fortnite) in 2022. On God, no cap bro.

Islamic studies

Being a devout Muslim, I try to learn as much about my religion as I can — currently working toward becoming an Islamic scholar (Alim).
